LA PHIL reimagines music as a visual symphony, where typography moves, breathes, and resonates like an orchestra in motion. Inspired by the fluidity of sound and the energy of live performance, this exploration translates rhythm, harmony, and contrast into a dynamic visual experience.

Through experimental motion, structured spontaneity, and generative design, this work mirrors LA Phil’s bold, forward-thinking approach to classical and contemporary music. Each element is composed like a score—balancing precision with expression, order with improvisation.

More than design, this is an immersive experience—where sight and sound merge, echoing LA Phil’s commitment to innovation and the evolution of orchestral storytelling.

Algorithmic Core (p5.js): Translating Frequency to Typography. This custom algorithm serves as the engine behind the LA Phil generative identity system. It maps real-time audio frequency data into typographic behavior using p5.js. By converting sound input into textSize(), rotationSpeed(), and oscillationSpeed(), the system creates responsive motion typography that visually reacts to music in real time. This code-driven design process powers the dynamic visual system across motion and interactive applications.
